POSTCARD FROM HA LONG BAY

I feel responsible for the beauty of this world.
— Adriano (Roman Emperor)

I jump off the deck into the dark blue sea. I take a couple of strokes and look around. Mountain ranges are poking out of the water into the sky, each hiding a mystical karst within. The limestone in Ha Long Bay has gone through 500 million years of formation and the evolution of the karst has taken 20 million years. I feel so small, but yet I know, that it lies in our hands to decide what the next million of years are going to look like.
